What do Microsoft and Chapman Manufacturing have in common? Both were started in garages!

Chapman Manufacturing was established in 1936 in the garage of “Old Man Chapman” on Meeting House Hill Road in the small town of Durham, Connecticut. In 1965, the current owners, Mr. William F. LeVee his wife Doris bought the company and relocated it to 471 New Haven Rd, Durham. Mr. LeVee is now almost 90 years old and is still in the factory every day ensuring the highest quality tools are produced. He and Old Man Chapman both are quality control sticklers, which explains the hundreds of letters, faxes and emails from customers we’ve received over the past 76 years attesting to the quality, durability and handiness of our tools.. People use Chapman midget ratchets and adapters to repair and service everything from firearms to appliances, computers to dental equipment, and to Mr. LeVee’s delight, Apache helicopters! Chapman Manufacturing is old fashion in our values, we promise a lifetime workmanship guarantee on all of our products.

Chapman tools and parts are 100% American made and assembled. Mr. LeVee insists that everything from the tiny gears inside our famous midget ratchet, to our steel and paper brochures be entirely made in America, the way it has been since 1936.
